I've not stayed there, but I helped friends plan a cruise trip and this is the resort they chose and they LOVED it. They have kids and they loved the pool areas and said transportation was easy (as always) with the Disney buses.
They said the rooms were more than comfortable and the theming was better than they expected.
I don't know of any resort specific websites…perhaps someone else around here does.
Hope you have a great time!!

We've stayed there. We didn't much care for it. Too spaced out and not a really good "Disney Feel" for us. I know other love the place, but it wasn't our cup of tea.
One of the best sites to find out information about a resort (aside from just asking here), is www.allearsnet.com. Deb Wills runs a top-notch site and it's always my go-to place for info. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

CBR is nice since it's quiet and each building, I think, has only 2 floors. The only drawback and benefit is there is no central bus station so leaving for the parks first thing in the morning may take a while if the buses are full and coming back may mean multiple stops as well. |

I've stayed there twice. The last time was 2 years ago. It is a bit spread out as others have said. And the bus situation can be tricky. But overall, I don't think you'll be disappointed. There are many activities and the main pool is nicely themed. _________________ [ |

Unfortunately you can't see RoE from there... That is a show that is difficult to see outside of the park.
Once this about CBR, that is where the PotC themed rooms are! _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

We used to stay there a lot as a kid. It's nice and tucked away (similar to Port Orleans) with a Caribbean feel. Old Port Royal has a pretty decent food court.
It's one of my faves of the moderate priced resorts. |

The only resort you can kind of see Illuminations from (only if you walk up to the entry gate) would be the the Yacht Club/Beach Club Area but those resorts are more expensive. |
