|
|
I'm trying to find a comprehensive list of obscure things to find in WDW like the paint brush on Tom Sawyer Island, the talking bench in Norway, etc. I'm well aware of the hidden Mickeys, so I am looking for something more obscure to task myself with finding.
Does anybody know of a resource online that has a list of something like that? Or maybe you know of an item that is kind of hidden and is worth trying to find?
Thanks! |

Push is an annimatronic trash can found in Tomorrowland. He looks like any other trash can, except he talks and interacts with the guests. He moves and talks and will have fun with kids (he's remotely operated). What's really cool is that for the rest of the day, kids will go around MK hugging trashcans, just in case it'll talk to them! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I've really enjoyed this book thus far: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1605500631/ref=ox_ya_oh_product.
A few of them (I hope I'm getting these correct):
* In the General Store on Main street, there's a phone that represents a "party line", which back in the old days was a shared line for the whole building. If you pick it up, you can hear a humorous discussion taking place between two tenants of the building. I think this is a track right here on UAB.
* In the back of Tony's Italian restaurant on Main Street, you can find Lady and the Tramp, sharing their spaghetti.
* There's also a talking trash can in Epcot's Electric Umbrella. Not sure how it differs from PUSH, but I know that it is not mobile and delivers canned lines when it opens.
There are a bunch more, but here are just a few of the ones I can remember. |

I too am reading that hidden magic book.. There is also an independent fil co on youtube called second star films they did a hidden magic sort of top 20 of obscure items that might be worth checking out.
1) waking up tinker bell inside tinkerbell treasures (gotta be the first ones in with a kid)
2) the roof inside Sir Mickeys has a huge giant ripping the roof off
3) Key under the mat in muppets
4) pulling the rope at indiana jones ( the well)
Is this what you meant by hidden magic? |

The phone in the General Store is gone (I think)... it was removed when those stores were renovated a year or so ago.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

There are a few different iPhone apps you can get as well as just the secrets from these guys. Reading through some of the text files, there appears to be some stuff that we already know about or is no longer there, but for 99 cents, not a bad little guide to have the information with you. I'd rather have the information on my lightweight phone as opposed to having to carry around a book or printed lists! |

Love this hidden secrets stuff!
Not sure if this is also what you are looking for but we had fun "hunting" it down...
In Animal Kingdom, in Asia, there is a temple whose silhouette perfectly matches the silhouette of Mount Everest. To see it, first find the temple and then position yourself so that you are facing the mountain. I don't want to make it too easy for you so if you want some more hints, feel free to PM me! _________________ Is it time to go to WDW yet? |
