I'm pretty sure the lowest point is in Death Valley...and I've heard the highest point is on Mt Rainier, WA....my guess is they are like 1500 miles apart (???)

Well...my first thought was that both points were like 100 miles apart...I know Death Valley is the lowest...I don't know many mntns in CA--I'd guess Shasta since it's one I know the name of
