Welcome to the 2nd issue of UAB’s Earlines.  It’s here that you’ll find some of the latest information happening at Utilidors Audio Broadcasting. 

Summer is shaping up to be an exciting time at Utilidors Audio Broadcasting! From now through August, we're adding tons of new features, expanding content, and making technical enhancements to improve your listening experience. As part of our thanks for your continued patronage, the UAB staff has honored its loyal listeners and welcome back old friends with a one-time gift of 100 flyer miles to all registered members!

So, read on and let us know what you think.  Who knows, maybe you’ll see your questions or ideas right here.

Q: How can I donate to UAB if I don't have a PayPal account?

A: Just send your donation to UABMagic, P.O. Box 271, Raynham, MA 02767. We ask that you email us at UABadmins letting us know you sent something. Please include your screen name so we can award Flyer Miles accordingly.

Hot New Tracks

Can you believe since we debuted in November of 2006 we've added more than 1200 tracks to our request library bringing our total tracks to over 4000? Below is just a sample of the many tracks we have added over the last few months:

Again these are but a sampling of the tracks we have added. We've obtained over 1000 new tracks from some of your most requested and beloved attractions. You read right - over 1000 tracks, a veritable avalanche of new audio! Watch for these gems as they fly into rotation over the coming weeks.

For the first time in over a year, UAB is getting new programming! Not one show...not two shows...but THREE new shows with fresh hosts and all-new themes! First on the rollout docket are...

UAB YOUR WAY

The show where UAB SUPPORTERS get to play DJ! Twice a week, enjoy 60 minute shows compiled - and, if they so choose, hosted - by a UAB supporting member. Stay tuned for more details!

We’ve been very fortunate to have the wonderful members that we do on UAB.  Our members make the community the way it is and we’d like to take this time to pay tribute to certain members that have blessed us with contributions.  Along with 1 Anonymous contributor, the following members have been kind enough to donate:

Site supporters received an additional 75 flyer miles to thank them for their help in keeping the site online and financially solvent over the past year and a half.

We understand that the core of our community is comprised of dedicated listeners and friends like you. We cherish your presence and input, and hope you will enjoy your flyer miles as well as our upcoming server, site, and programming enhancements.

UAB Jamboree 2006 was such a success we’ve decided to do it again; On Columbus Day weekend 2007, we’ll be hosting our second member gathering; UAB Jamboree 2007 – The WDW Invasion!

Imagin-EAR-ing

You may or may not have heard our teaser spots on the broadcast about upcoming changes.

Broadcast speed and reliability is our foremost concern. Over the past several months, our current server began to show its age. So, we've cleaned it up to make sure it's responding as quickly and efficiently as possible. More, we've made concrete plans to upgrade to a new server that will better serve our growing listener base on a permanent basis. Watch for speedier server responses in the coming weeks!

We're also working on new layouts and color schemes as well as improved site design and functionality. Stay tuned!

As a final announcement we'd like to introduce you to our two newest Forum Moderators; Ellory and eatmon74. They've agreed to join our staff in helping with the site changes and assisting keeping the forums active. Please help us welcome them to the team!

We're excited about the changes, and we hope you are too! As always, we encourage you to come chat in our community Forums, and enjoy the numerous games, discussions, and contests we'll be sponsoring throughout the rest of this year.
