|
|
The Haunted Mansion has just received a new unload projection effect in an effort to help guests exit to the correct side of the DoomBuggy. A green hand with a finger pointing to the left appears on the DoomBuggy infront of you, just as your DoomBuggy enters the unload area. Anyone seen this first hand? _________________ John |

I know I saw it somewhere else before, might have been at DLP, but it's a simple effect. Kind of a sad statement when there is only one way to go and you need a video to show you which way it is. |

Sarah and I saw it last weekend. While it is sad that some people need this assistance in exiting the doombuggy, the projection isn't overly obnoxious. I'm more worried about what they are doing to the exterior queue. |

I found it to be white more than green. Matt, do you recall it being perhaps a hint of green? Maybe they removed a filter they had over it when we saw it. Plus, it would have been better if it was a bony skeleton hand pointing (which is for some reason what I had pictured in my mind).
I agree with Matt. The graveyard in the queue will never be the same. Glad I got to see it one last time before the renovation. |

Wait, what did they do to the graveyard in the queue? _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

In my opinion, this just show the eroding of common sense in most people now a days... How long has the attraction been running before this was needed? How long has it been running at other parks, etc.... I just find it mind boggling that someone would see everything on the left side and decide that the proper exit was to the right of the vehicle...

Now if only I could get the same projection in the hallways of my house. Or a little Leota, even better! |

I think the hand looks, well, stupid.
As stated before, the big wall to the right, the person on the walking belt, all the other folks unloading to the side, etc. would seem to be sufficient to me. Do they really have a problem with large crowds of people getting stuck trying to walk through the unload room walls?
And they definately could have themed it better. Say having a ghost image getting up and going to the side, or a skeleton hand.
go find the suit of armor they use to have and make it point to the correct side. They could even have it jabbing its hand out to the side if they need to make it have motion...
Seems like even if this was needed, a poorly thought out solution.
What are they going to do next, add signs to tell folks how to use the restrooms... |

They already have signs instructing you how to wash your hands, brought to you by Brawny... |

Which is the worst; the addition of 'How to wash your hands' signs or that most people do not know or properly execute hand washing? |
