This from the Orlando Sentinal, and varified by your truley in a phone call yesterday:
Walt Disney Company’s latest carrot to lure vacationers to its resort hotels and theme parks is a meal ticket of sorts.
Customers who buy a five-night/six-day room and theme park ticket package for stays between Aug. 16 and Oct. 3 will receive meals as part of the deal.
The incentive offers one quick-service meal, one snack and one table-service meal at the more than 100 restaurants for each night of the package. Reservations must be made by June 21.
The dining program is the latest deal being by Disney, and other area attractions, to boost business. Smith Travel Research reported March 23 that the February occupancy rate of Orlando area hotels dropped nearly 12.5 percent from February 2008 to 65.9 percent last month. February is generally one of the strongest months for the area’s hotels. A year earlier, 75.3 percent of rooms were occupied. The numbers do not include hotels on Disney property. |

This has been an annual promotion for a while now. I know we have done it a couple of times. FYI, it's advertised as the 6-night/5-day deal, but in the past we've always done a 4-night/3-day package. They don't advertise that you can adjust the length of your stay and still get the free dining (though I think the 4/3 combo is as short as you can go). _________________ Beth's Blog |
