Watching South Park last night, they introduced a horribly funny send-up of one of Disney's lesser known, yet beloved characters, Dreamfinder- including a one-word parody of the "Imagination" theme song. If you didn't catch it- it's on again tonight.

Anywhoo, this brought to my mind parodies of other Disney Park music- the only ones that readily came to mind were:

The Simpsons- when visiting "Duff Gardens" Bart & Lisa are forced to ride it's version of "Small World", complete with theme song- "Duff Beer for Me, Duff Beer for You". (Lisa ends up on an acid trip after drinking the water.)

Futurama- the crew heads to the moon, where an amusement park has been built. A ride celebrating the first moon landing has everyone singing the theme song- "Whalers on the Moon".

Even Disney parodies itself in "A Goofy Movie", when Goofy and Max catch a "Country Bear" type show comprised of malfunctioning forest rodents.

Anyone else know of any good parodies of Disney attraction music?

Back in the Napster days when I was downloading park audio, I caught an MP3 parody of Aladdin - A Whole Nude World. Yeah, it was R rated.

There was something I saw on Youtube that parodied Disney movies and had scenes from some. The actors were signing something about sex.

Sorry I don't remember nore details. But you can search for it I'm sure.

There was also something else on Youtube. It wasn't a parody, but supposedly someone reprogrammed the gorilla at Downtown Disney's Rainforest Cafe. The title of the song and Youtube clip was "D**n Tourists". It was actually pretty funny.

Tach, you beat me to it! I was going to post the same comment about South Park. I told my husband "If a purple monster pops up, I'll know it's a parody!" Sure enough, in the first scene of Imaginationland, there's a little purple monster that walks across the screen. Doesn't look like Figment, but still...

Remember the South Park episode where Chef gets killed? His Adventure Club headquarters or whatever it was looked an awful lot like the Adventurers Club, complete with a Babylonia head on the wall.

Another simpsons Parody was my Mr. Burns...See my Vest (a song about all the fashion he owns made from Animal furs/skins). Sung to the tune of "Be our Guest".

Hey guys. Leave it to the Simpsons to corner the market on Disney parodies. Who could forget "Yo Ho (An Alternative Lifestyle For Me)" complete with wenches chasing...wenches. Also in the Duff Gardens episode there was the "Duff Hall of Presidents" which included Mr. Lincoln doing a rap about Duff. Also there is a strange little movie called "Run Ronnie Run" written by and starring the guys from HBO's "Mr. Show. Anyway during the course of the story they suddenly cut to a "deleted scene' from a popular "family film" that features a troupe of dancing chimney sweeps singing something VERY family unfriendly-like. I think Jack Black has a cameo here, but I'm not sure. Well, if you can find it it be worth a laugh. Well, until later, peace.

I can't believe there;s no mention of the Simpson classic "Duff Beer for me, Duff Beer for you, I'll have a Duff, You have one too!" "Small World" parody.

The south park episode where they sing the imagination song is good. They also have a Family guy episode where they go to WDW and Stewie is forced to sing "It's a tiny tiny world.

I went to a Jeff Dunham show last night and his opening act was Guitar Guy who came up with a whole new set of lyrics for small world (he said it was a result of going to Disneyland and dropping acid).

Paul Shanklin has a parody of "Be our Guest" that's called "Be our Guest Worker". It's supposed to be John McCain singing about letting illegal alians in. Pretty funny stuff.

On a bit of a tangent, the Simpsons Ride in Universal Studios is awsome. It's exactly like Back to the Future, but it's been way updated. It has the Simpson's humor and a decent good story. It does have the "Beer for me... beer for you" song - I think it might show in the queue preshow.
