Hi. For me here on the west coast the one song/piece of music that symbolizes DL has to be the original MSEP music Baroque Hoedown. Just in the way everything is literally synthesized and combined with the more familiar Disney songs is enough to remind you that you can only experience this kind of magic at DL. When it comes to WDW I'd have to choose the music from Main Street in the MK for it's sense of nostalgia. At Epcot I'd say One Little Spark for FutureWorld and Golden Dream for WorldShowcase; I know it sounds kinda exclusive, but again, it still is a Disney composition. Disney/MGM Studios gives me the music from The Great Movie Ride, (original), for it's blend of classic and original 'movie music'. And finally Animal Kingdom has to provide anything from Lion King for obvious reasons. Well, that's it for now, peace. |

Gotta agree with many others about the Epcot Entrance music. Always let me know when it was time to allow guests to roam from Energy Exchange at Communicore into the rest of the park. Hmmm, wonder if we can find the Epcot Welcome spiel circa 88...

Well, I gotta say, I love DLR quite a bit, maybe bc I go to ours over here all the time. Anytime you wanna go over EPCOT Center memories, I'm game Epiphany. I went for the first time in 1984 when I came down with my parents and siblings on a road trip from Iowa. Then 3 years later we ended up moving to Orlando. Weird. My wife just said that the defining song for her in Epcot is Imagination (partially bc she works there, and that's where we met). _________________ -Evil Shady (Step out to your left please. I don't know if I'm weird, but for me the definative Disney audio are the "Please Stand Clear of the Doors" speil, it says "Your Back", that and the opening ramp to Fantasmic, my all time favorite Disnet attraction. |

I like the area music for Main Street in the MK, as it is really the first thing you hear as you enter the park. The howling from the Haunted Mansion as it mixes with the railroad bell & whistle is also a favorite. Back in the seventies in Tomorrowland we used to listen to Mannheim Steamroller. |

Love the Great Movie Ride Site & Sound, but my absolute favorite is the vintage EPCOT Center opening. I remember when I was young waiting for the gates to open when it was too hot to wear pants, but too cold to wear shorts, so Mom would make us wear windbreakers. Problem was after an hour the windbreakers were too hot so we had to tie them around our waist allday....oh, I could go on for hours... |
