I grew up 5 mins from Disneyland and I always remember someone Screaming just as the lights go off in the Haunted Mansion. I have always enjoyed this spontaneous crowd reaction to the person's scream.
I have recently moved to Florida and have noticed that the sreaming is not happening, unless it is me screaming. So my question is should I or Should I not continue screaming??? |

Uh, I scream on the TTA, does that count?
Actually, I don't hear a lot of people scream at HM. Usually if someone is screaming, it is a child or just someone goofing off.... but there is a scream in the rides soundtrack also.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

I am aware of the scream in the HM, but I find that it comes to late in the scene. By the time it screams most people have already left the room and the people who are still in the room are making more noise than than the Scream. So I still like to add my own effects to the ride. |

Never scream on Haunted Mansion, I just like to take it all in.
However I do scream on It's A Small World, all the way through. |

Haha, that's more of a whimper.
A bit off topic, but...
As far as a scream on a soundtrack, anyone ever notice the baby crying sounds in "It's Tough to be a Bug" in Animal Kingdom when Hopper comes out? Just a strange decision by Disney to inject that into the soundtrack. Oh well. |

I used to scream...until this happened...
A long time ago, We lived in Southern California and had passes to DL. Everytime we went to HM we screamed as the lights went out. Then it all changed for me.
This one day I let out a good blood curdeling scream, and scared the "heck" out of a little kid who was standing about 4 feet away from me. This kid started crying his eyes out. Now, luckily the lights were out, so the parents had no idea who the evil monster was who traumatized their child, so I didn't get my butt kicked, or even a tongue lashing...but as we got into the Doombuggies, the kid was still crying...only now it was uncontrollable. This continued throughout the entire ride. They were like 2 cars in front of us. It was a horrible experience.
I still feel guilty to this day, and haven't screamed yet. I only hope this episode didn't have some negative impact on the rest of this childs life. I was able to talk to him after the ride and offer some words of comfort...never actually identifying myself as the creep who started it all. His parents were greatful for the time I took trying to calm down this little stary eyed boy. I wonder, some nights as I lay in bed, whatever happened to little Charlie Manson.......
......just kidding....I still scream..... |

I don''t scream in either mansion. The ONLY time I do, is during Bats Day in DL, as well as recite the entire speil with the Ghost Host. Aside from that, I prefer to let the Host do his job. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I let out a yell on the roller coasters, and Tower Of Terror. I learned how from my wife. The Tower Of Terror use to hurt me inside, till she told me to let the pressure out. This was before they changed it. It seems like it use to be alot faster when it first opened. On the Rock'N Roller Coaster, I sing real load. Thank the good Lord no one can hear me. I look like road kill when the picture is taken, mouth all open with the g-force smush'n me. |

two things really annoy me once i'm in the door at the HM:
1) guests who scream/talk really loud/spiel along/laugh in the ERs
2) guests who wear glow jewelry or turn on the flashlight toys while on the attraction
