A cast member at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park was hospitalized after an apparent a hit-and-run crash on Monday afternoon, officials said.
Sgt. Kim Montes, a spokeswoman for the Florida Highway Patrol, said troopers are looking for the driver who hit 48-year-old David Allen Miller in front of the water park about 1:15 p.m. and then drove off.
The suspect was believed to have been driving a gray 2007 Jeep, Montes said. Troopers were able to get part of the sport utility vehicle's tag number and a description.
David Allen Montes said investigators think they've identified a possible owner of the vehicle. They had not yet questioned that person Monday evening. Montes said charges are pending.
Miller, of Kissimmee, was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration Health after the crash. Troopers said his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
A Disney official confirmed that Miller is a cast member at the park, and was working as an attendant in the parking area when he was hit. Miller's condition was not available Monday evening.
