Universal is so lame - what a ripoff of the Rock'N Roller Coaster, only with no theming at all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR8cbXaMOfg
By itself, the coaster looks pretty cool, but what business does this have in a theme park? The word theme should mean something, shouldn't it? |

Not impressed. I'll check it out someday, but only because I have a free ticket to Universal. |

Wow, it does seem like a rip off. And it seems like a bad idea to call it the HOLLYWOOD Rip Ride Rockit when their competition is Disney's HOLLYWOOD Studios. _________________ Beth's Blog |

They were working on this when we were at Universal in April. Some of those drops looked pretty steep. Not a coaster fan at all and haven't even gotten the nerve up to ride Rockin' Roller Caoster or ToT. _________________ [ |

Rip Ride Rockit vs. Rock N Roller Coaster - they're so lame they can't even come up with a new style name. |

2009 - Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit - (10/20/09) A reader sent in a picture taken on Sunday showing the work crews pulling the Rockit car that ‘valleyed’ the night before up the hill to the mid-course brake run. While I don’t know anything for certain, witness who saw it running Saturday afternoon reported that the morning’s test runs seemed to be quite slow, and were barely making it through the course due to the cold weather. They shut down the ride until the sun came out and warmed things up a bit, and when they did finally open the ride in the afternoon it seemed to be running fine. However later that night, when the temperature dropped, is when the empty train valleyed just after the non-inverting loop. Rumor has it that they may not attempt to test the cars without some weight in them again until things warm up in the spring.

So it sounds like the new coaster can't run in the cold... that could be problematic! _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

I have a free ticket until the end of the year for Uni. Hopefully it will be warm enough and running if I do get over there. Otherwise I'll be ticked paying for parking just to end up hopping on the Mummy and then sitting at Margaritaville for the rest of the night. |

It's not! Just feels like a waste of money to park at Uni when I can park valet at Boardwalk and have a pitcher or two and watch sports at ESPN! |

True. And I would rather give my money to Mickey and not Jimmy. Not like either of them need it. _________________ [ |

Very true. But Jimmy had a TBA tour date time at Amway Arena a few days after AC/DC is here next month, but it vanished from the schedule. Point goes to Disney for not disappointing me with false hopes of attending said concert. |
