They're a different class of corn dog.
I'm a daytime traveler - though I prefer the evening lines.
Fantasmic: 2-hours early with a blanket or 15 minutes before showtime and hope for a spot. |

my wait time limit is about 60 minutes. Any more than that and I'm looking at alternatives
Would you rather get into a last minute show, or a last minute dinner reservation? |

Last minute show
Regarding wait time for Fantasmic! - at DL they have moved to dinner/priority seating - we have done it once before show closed for Star Wars additon-it was OK HOWEVER- I much preferred paying for priority dessert seating - you had a chair, nice service and always nice dessert and hot cocoa on a cold night ...
Using a fast pass or get lucky and walk on to an attraction (no wait time)

Walking on and getting lucky - Fastpasses require too much strategic thought for a lazy Disney day.
I so miss the Fantasmic dessert shows. My favorite was years and years (and years) ago when you had to wait in line outside the park at the group sales window. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I loved it. We'd get a cheapy hotel down in Anaheim. I'd wake up at, like, 3:30 in the morning and walk to the park. It was still dark, but everything would be lit up and you could hear the music playing on Main Street.
Then I'd wait in line until my wife joined me a few hours later with breakfast. You'd get to know everyone in line (and the Disney Security Guards who'd come by just to check you weren't doing anything bad). Loved it!

The Little Mermaid-Ariel's Undersea Adventure
Ya I can associate with that - for the dessert seating I was the designated waiter in line - I would get to where the podium would be by 5:00 PM and some days as early as 4:00 just so we could get front row center - didn't mind at all - family would bring me treats and cool drinks and got to visit with all the folks that came the same night year after year ... alas miss those days ...
Peter Pan's Flight or Alice in Wonderland - keeping with the dark ride theme ...

Always wished they made him a character on Disney Infinity. To no avail!

Though I suspect my daughter would disagree with me.
