Ok staying with the geography questions. What is the highest peak and the lowest spot in the lower 48 states and about how far apart are they?

I'm pretty sure the lowest point is in Death Valley...and I've heard the highest point is on Mt Rainier, WA....my guess is they are like 1500 miles apart (???)

Sorry OCM but Rainier is not the Highest point in the lower 48, but good guess.

Well...my first thought was that both points were like 100 miles apart...I know Death Valley is the lowest...I don't know many mntns in CA--I'd guess Shasta since it's one I know the name of
