Boom, right out the gate.
Yes, they had proposed a ride where guests would shoot along through the circuits and transistor of a computer. It was a hard sell ... then someone said something about space ...

I can imagine a great attraction about the computer. It could shuttle you through program load, data fetch, memory retrieval, disk management, registers, etc.

Another easy one, Name two Epcot attractions starring Martin Short.

I know that one of them is the O Canada movie.
Wasn't he also in one of the energy attractions? I may have to investigate further.

The Making of Me!

Y'know, I had to look this up, then I promptly smacked myself in the head. Now, I've never seen the show, but I heard the audio here on the UAB. I was amazed that Disney would touch on this topic as I'm sure there were some parents who might object!

it was so generic there was little to object to. It was more genetics than anything else.

Your question Bison

It's early 1955, and Walt Disney is building the culmination of all his dreams. Shortly after construction, though, he realized that there was something vital he forgot to include in his plans, and money was so wrapped up that he needed help adding this additional feature.

He reached out to a good friend of his, Jack Wrather, for help. After much cajoling Wrather agreed to assist.

1. How did Wrather help?
2. Bonus: To show his gratitude, Walt did something for Wrather that he vowed he would never do - what did he give?

He needed a Hotel for Disneyland, so he gave this man a call and offered the license.

Walt was against outside vendors having the rights to use the Disney or Disneyland name, but he did allow it to be used for this Hotel.

They recovered the name when they bought out the Hotel in the late 80's

Boom! Nailed every point and even gave us a little extra!

Fun story: When I was a little kid growing up in L.A. there was a motel a few blocks from our house. I can distinctly remember that on the sign to the hotel was an image of Donald Duck running toward the hotel. I thought that meant that Disneyland was nearby (not that we didn't live far away, but certainly not close enough).

I don't remember the name of the hotel, but I got to believe it was one of Wrathers.

The Polynesian had a 65 foot Chinese junk docked outside, later turned into a bar, what was its name?

The Eastern Winds

I had never heard of this before - I had to research. What a fascinating little history.

Oh gosh, I forgot I was up:

After the world's fair ended, the It's a Small World attraction was relocated to Disneyland in Anaheim. One of the features of the pavilion at the fair was the Tower of the Four Winds. Where was the tower relocated?
