The Future Has Arrived 7/9/07

Hello UAB Community Members and distinguished guests! Thank you for putting up with our dust for the time being! As you can see, things have changed a bit over the weekend and this is just the beginning! We're now on our new server and things are flying swiftly as ever. You'll notice that there's no lag on the "Now Playing" page any longer for starters.

It's been a long overdue, but we're quite pleased with our new home. We hope this will explain why schedules have been a little rough around the edges as of recent. Starting Wednesday, we'll be bringing you more great tracks like never before.

Again, we're just getting started. Coming soon we've got some new broadcast segments, shows/programming, exciting contests and of course, all of those requestable tracks you love so much.

This weekend we also managed to "POTENTIALLY" get rid of the MCP's restart schedule. This means uninterrupted UAB 24-7!. This is still in its testing phase so please bear with us for the time being. All for your listening enjoyment.

Some of you have stumbled upon an issue we've had for quite sometime concerning password syncronization-You change your password on the UAB site...but your console password never updates. Well we focused on that a bit and the new code snippet seems to be working well. If for any reason you can't login after you change your password, delete your cookies/cache and then close and open your browser. This should flush any cookies out of your system with potentially old information.

As a thank you...and a treat for all of the holiday fans, next week UAB will be celebrating Christmas in July. What does that mean. We're opening up our vault for a little Christmastime cheer all next week.


Please bear with us a little longer should you run into something that's not totally functional or out of place. We're still testing and trying out a few new features. We'll be updating everyone should there be any need for additional downtime.
